Janerose comes from a small village in southwestern Tanzania. It was her mother, at great sacrifice, who made sure that Janerose got the chance to go to school and it is there that she studied alongside Godfrey and Emmanueli. After graduating she joined Godfrey and Emmanueli and has managed the finances for Village Schools Tanzania for the last 18 years.

In addition to all of the work she does, she is known as a passionate advocate for girls going to school, regularly speaks about it in community meetings and has over the years personally helped dozens of girls to school.
