Kazovu Secondary School

Kazovu Secondary School is located in a small fishing village right on the beach in a beautiful cove. Kazovu is the home village of one of our former students and is on the coast of Lake Tanganyika.

This makes it an incredibly beautiful place for a school, but also very difficult to build in because after supplies are hauled to the lake, they must be carried across it by boat. People from Kazovu and three of its neighboring villages have worked hard to make bricks and haul them to the building site by boat because there is no road to the school. They have succeeded in building six classrooms, a science laboratory building, two teacher houses and a large administration building that includes offices, a library, and an assembly hall.

Kazovu now has more than 100 students. Our first graduating class will take their national examinations this year.
